I am going to an AC/DC cover band gig and I am super excited! I love the atmosphere at gigs and ones like this is right up my ally :D! So to show my support I thought a little bit of a “rock” look would be appropriate. I am a big fan of Black and Red so this kind of combo is a big hit for me.

A Champagne brunch with the girls can be oh so much fun! Why not kick it up a notch by going all decked out with elegance yet with a flair of simplicity. A simple black jumpsuit with the right black heels accented with gold, brought together with the correct accessories can add just that touch for a fun afternoon bubbly brunch!

I have been in touch with stunning Ms. Malia Brown (Editor in Chief) of the beeeaaautiful Natural Magazine & Blog “Natura Magazine” (psst) if you haven’t already checked it out then stop right now and click on the link above (and then come back of course!)
I guess the best way to explain what Natura is all about is to quote them:

The quote above basically breaks down what the online magazine/blog is all about. You have the actual “E-Magazine” and a blog with a lot of blog posts! I love the concept, content and feel of the entire site and it is FREE! If you subscribe and/or follow them you will always be informed when something new comes up. Did I mention it is FREE?!?!
So first things first. Natura will have a new magazine out on April 30th! See the cover “sneak peak” below. Once it is out I shall be sure to let you know!
Of course they have previous issues such as the ones below. Yes, they are “old” issues but you can still read beautiful stories, see inspiring styles and learn a few tricks from the “old” right? (I just linked the magazines to their official magazine page.)
Like I mentioned, apart from the magazines they also have a blog with a ton of information, stories, pictures, posts etc. and it is not only about Natural Hair! So, what I plan on doing is to highlight stories from their blog that I come across and if the stories/posts/images interest you then all you have to do is click on the links and read the entire posts on their page. (Yes, I am excited LOL).
So expect to see more than just my waffling about my natural hair, skin care and health tips from now on Maicurlies! 🙂

Over the last few days it was been a little rainy! (I am doing my happy rain dance because it hardly ever rains here!) So in the spirit of Rain I have put together a few pieces that I think are comfortable, will keep you warm, keep the rain off you but still give you that “fashion” feel. There is no need to have to compromise one (keeping the rain off you) for the other (wearing clothes you feel good in).
I have to say the boots, jacket and bag are my favorite!

Hey Maicurlies!
So last weekend I was out of town camping with a big group (there were several hundred people) for a desert rock trip. I love being outdoors and I am the kinda girl who likes to wear comfortable clothes while camping.
I do not go “over the top” when I camp because what is the point right? I always wear pedal pushers and take shorts as well. I take an extra top and in case it gets a little nippy (which it can especially in the desert) I take a hoody or sweater.
I love being outdoors what about you?

I sometimes meet up with friends after work (especially when I have been in the office for hours!) In cases like this, instead completely changing your outfit in your office bathroom, you can always plan ahead and wear something you can easily modify from the professional office look…to a fun light night.
While I generally do not go out during the week (I have to admit I am not longer in my mid or late 20’s anymore :() on the rare occasion I do meet my friends during the week. Nights like that are not “crazy” therefore I do not want to get too “dolled up” for it. A nice top, trousers, a pretty pair of earrings accompanied with the right shoes and bag can be all you need.
So before heading out the office (or your car), take off your jacket, swap out the shoes and pick up your clutch bag and you are good to go!

Hi Maicurlies!
So it is my Birthday tomorrow (7th March) and if I had my pick I would want to wear either one of these ensembles. I love celebrating other peoples birthdays, getting gifts for them and partying but when it comes to mine I am a little “meh” about it.
Nevertheless friends have planned a dinner first at a nice Japanese Restaurant and then we will head out to one of the local bars to finish off the night.
I love the dresses because they are not “toooo much” but with the accessories they are just right for a birthday occasion don’t you think?

I have to admit that I have not always been the biggest “fan” of green however this shade seemed to catch my eye! I also like the combination of Green and Purple. I am sure in the “fashion world” my combination will probably not work for the professionals however, in my little world it does. I also had to throw in the white jacket because it was too cute to skip and those shoes!!!
Yes I do love this combination. What do you think?
