I saw this look while watching the lovely SunKissAlba on her YouTube channel http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2eN9-Jr6jJk, Yes she is absolutely stunning!
So upon watching her video I thought I would try out the look. (I did some things a tiny bit different to her original version). I love this look because while it is a ponytail it is not the traditional ponytail where all of your hair is tied up. It almost looks like a “Faux-hawk” – a ‘fake Mohawk’ except that it do not use bobby pins just 3 hair bubbles! I also have an explanation of how I do my Faux-Hawk under the Mai Hair Styles Tab.
Click on the images below for a better look and explanation.
- I use my plain water spray bottle the make it easy to part my hair
- 3 hair bubbles. They should be neither too big nor too small.
- I lightly spritz my hair with water
- I distribute the water by running my hands down the length of my hair
- You will want 3 sections for this look
- The first section is all the hair above your eye level
- Tie it up high on your head (not too tight or lose)
- The second section is all the hair above the mid-level of your ears
- Tie that in the middle
- The last section is all the rest and tie that low down towards the back of your neck
- Next lay the hair down so each section is laying directly underneath one another
- Start to fluff and fill out your hair so that you can not tell there are three separate ponytails
- Once you have fluffed and arranged you will not be able to tell there are three hair bubbles there …it looks like 1 long ponytail!
How do you rock your ponytail?
Thanks
